Speak directly with your customers Effective Public Relations
Discover the hidden wealth that can be buried in your company ...
Have you ever heard the saying: "Building a better mousetrap and the market will beat a path to your door."? Unfortunately this seems to be the axiom most business owners and organizations to live. I say "unfortunately" because it simply is not true. You see, if the market does not know about the product, how do you expect to buy from you? Worse still, if you do not know about you, how do you survive in business?
You need to tell the market in the first place you exist, then you need to tell them what you do, and, finally, you must tell them how you can solve their problems. But business is rarely so simple. It is likely that you're not the only one who can solve their problems, you'll always competing for their business.
You must learn to communicate with the market. This is called Public Relations. It could be something that your competitors are not doing or not doing well. If this is the case, the communication with the market is effectively fail to grow your business. If, however, your competitors are already in communication with the common market, then now is the time to start, before falling behind in their dust.
In addition eNewsletter sent directly to your customers and prospects, the best way to communicate with your market is largely through the media. This includes newspapers, magazines, TV and radio, both in traditional and online format.
One of the easiest ways to communicate with the media and through the preparation and distribution of a press release directly to them. It is sometimes called a press release and other times a press release. But whatever you call it, the million dollar question remains: Why do most business owners and organizations to make more use of this powerful promotional tool?
One reason may be that most people simply do not feel confident enough to put their thoughts and ideas on paper. Not everyone is a good (or adequate) writer. My experience in working with entrepreneurs suggests that it has more to do with not knowing what to write about how you write it. The unfortunate result is that giving up the benefits that this wonderfully simple but powerful tool for developing business has to offer.
So, what is worthy of being put in a press release? In the first place, must be of interest to the reader. And when I say player, I mean not only your prospect expected, but also the editor or reporter to whom you sent the release. Do not want to hear garbage or a sales pitch. They want news.
My advice is to keep abreast with international and local news. Need to know what's happening in your community, your country and the world in general. You must know this because that's what will be in the minds of people on a daily basis. If a plane has just crashed in their neighborhood, it is unlikely that you care too much about the new widget you just launched, unless the widget is designed to save people from plane crashes, of course.
Keep up to date with the latest trends. So often you can ride on the back of a trend and gain priceless publicity. To do this, you need to know what is happening in general. Is there any connection? You can make a connection?
Have a good look at your business. You need to understand exactly what your business. And what sells. Then ask yourself if your customers know what your company does and sells. If your company is like most, the answer is probably no. The items that are most profitable? There's old warehouse that really should be moved? There are only a few products or services that customers know and not others? How can you tell them?
Public Relations requires strategy. If you send the same or a similar message, the media over and over again, in the end have tired of hearing from you and you stop opening your e-mail. If your press release contains grammatical and spelling errors, it becomes unreadable and maintain your professional image. And anyway, who are your relevant media and how to contact you?
These questions are why many business owners and organizations use professionals to take care of their requirements of public relations. If you do not have the time or confidence to use this powerful tool to grow your business, contact Communications altitude to discuss your needs and create a package tailored to meet your public relations needs and budget .......
