Space - Beyond the Wild West and Into the Final Frontier

While watching the speech just the beginning of the original Star Trek show, actually most of us are fascinated about space. Those fleeting feelings brought us to our love for astronomy and our desire to learn more from it every day.

The most exciting thing when it comes to studying the universe is also the most frustrating and this is the idea that no matter how we become experts in this field, we still do not know enough about it. Do not worry about that thought. Even the most brilliant minds of science as Copernicus and Einstein looked up into space and felt as if they were only a tiny fragment of the vast and infinite universe.

Obviously the universe is finite. There must be an end of it. However, no one has ever understood or space where the universe ends. The only thing that brought us to the end of the universe is our limited ability to look deeper into it.

However, conquering the last frontier of space means more than to see stars, planets and other celestial bodies, there are also new questions that will surely appear as how space works and what lays ahead for us to conquer? The Big Bang theory and the concept of expanding universe is not sufficient diameter to blow your mind away. The advent of Einstein's theory of relativity makes it even more confusing as this theory suggests that space is a dimension of time doing so to think that time travel might be possible.

The space is much more of a journey of the mind as is the distance. When the mysteries of blacks holes were presented to us by Steven Hawking, we then realized that the dimension of time from the theory of relativity, Einstein could collapse like the holes blacks have the ability to distort and alter time and space. These ideas and concepts, it would not be possible if the radio astronomy has not been developed.

The brilliance of Hawking and Einstein have led to the birth of string theory that could revolutionize the way we understand space and how the universe relates to it. We can not say that we have discovered enough. Space is the final frontier. The starship Enterprise, and so should not be explored. There are a lot of things that do not yet know the space and we do not have an answer yet. This is often called the unified field theory and this is the theory that will answer all the unanswered questions about the space.

These concepts need some tools to put measure on the space environment. This is why a lot of writers of fiction that deals with stories of space gives us the idea that space can be known that, despite its vastness and infinity, we can still win it, although we are only a small spec in it .

For humans, that is enough. If we have the vision, then we can win something, even if large and seemingly impossible to win. The love of astronomy has brought humanity to a common goal of conquering the vast universe. The goal of creating an international space station and work together to spread our reach beyond this planet seems to find unity among nations that can not get along on the surface of the earth .......
