They start with businesses that do not require too much maintenance, as a few hours a day. Choose crafts that will not put extra pressure on your existing work. Vermiculture is the cultivation of worms for the production of compost for plants. Vermicompost or vermicast is a very powerful food for plants. This is a complete fertilizer preferred for organic farming. Use as a condiment at the top to prevent loss of moisture, sprinkle on your lawn as a soil conditioner, or mix in water to form the worm tea. Worm tea is also used as a soil amendment is also known to cure some diseases of plants such as tomato leaf curl and degradation. Other users tea Worms add molasses and seaweeds to further increase the amount of beneficial microbes. You can sell this vermicast lovers of gardening or garden supplies and plants. If you have the ability to produce more, sell organic vegetable farms. Earthworms can be sold per piece or per kilogram. This could be used as breeders to produce their own or as feed vermicast high animal protein.
To start your project, vermiculture, buy the right kind of worms to decompose. African night crawlers and red larvae are the kind of earthworms for the job. These are not the same type of worms that you see in your lawn. Prepare a container for your worms. Containers of different types are available on the market. There are stackable containers, towering bins with drains to collect and feed the plants. Build your own worm bin, if you want. Make a wooden box, about 2 meters wide by 2 ½ feet long. Install hinges for the cover of wood. Drill small holes around the perimeter of 1 ½ inch from the top, this will serve as ventilation for the bin. Perform 2 larger holes, about ¾ of an inch in diameter along the length and in the lower part of the wall. Drill two holes more of the same dimensions directly on the opposite side. A PVC pipe the same diameter must pass through these holes.
Install mesh screen to cover the ¾-inch holes. Drill several small holes in the PVC pipe. The purpose of this tube is to introduce air from outside at the bottom of the bed worm. This will contribute to the rapid decomposition of litter. An alternative way to aerate the bottom pole is to turn once a week, so that the materials in the lower part are positioned on the top. Once the container is made, place bedding materials for the worm. Soak 2 inch strips of newspaper in water, wring, and fluff it. Mix with decaying leaves or yard clippings. Add crushed eggshells to neutralize the acidity. The worms are now ready to be transferred to the bin. Place the worms with kitchen waste, vegetable decorations, no meat, fruit skins, but not citrus. Cover each feed beddings sprinkle with a handful of earth to help the worms digest their food. Keep the beddings always wet.
This activity does not take long after its creation power and keeping the pile moist will not take much of your time. After several weeks, known capsular small jets. Collect and sift through a wire mesh, vermicast may be stored for a long time. Besides being a home based business also provides a suitable way to dispose of your waste ....
