Comparatively LCD TVs have a lifespan of about 50,000 or 60,000 hours, while plasma TVs are only about 20,000 to 30,000 hours of useful life. Despite this at present these differences are diminishing in favor of plasma TVs.

- Size: at first the main difference between plasma TVs and LCD was its size. Even was the main reason which established the election of one or the other. Now, now the two types of TV's are almost equal in this respect, however it is still possible to find plasma TVs larger than LCDs.
